Internet Explorer Vulnerability

Recently, Microsoft acknowledged a security flaw in its Internet Explorer browser that could put users at risk to a malware infection that bypasses anti-malware programs. With this type of risk, hackers could assume control of your computer and use it as their own. One commonly used tactic of hackers is to lure users to click on a link contained in an email message that diverts users to a compromised website controlled by the hacker.

According to the Microsoft Security Bulletin published on May 1st, this vulnerability flaw exists in Internet Explorer versions 6.0 through version 11.0. The U.S. Department of Homeland Security's Computer Emergency Readiness Team has advised consumers to switch to a different browser until the vulnerability flaw has been corrected.
