United Bank has named John Rainwater as the new president of its Griffin bank division. Rainwater has worked with United Bank for nearly 20 years, most recently as the President of the Bank’s Jackson division. He joined United Bank as a lender, working originally in Griffin, his hometown.

He is focused on meeting the financial needs of his customers and the communities he serves with the highest level of service." Rainwater will lead United Bank’s talented team of bankers in Spalding County.

He graduated from Georgia Southern with a Finance degree and expanded his banking credentials by attending the LSU Graduate School of Banking and the ABA Commercial Lending School at SMU. He has always been actively involved in the communities he serves.
