FDIC Coverage Increase Extended to 12/31/2013

On May 20, President Obama signed a law extending standard deposit coverage of $250,000 until December 31, 2013. United Bank participates in the Temporary Liquidity Guarantee Program (TLGP) which provides full FDIC coverage for all funds in non-interest bearing transaction deposit accounts. This coverage provision is currently scheduled to expire 12/31/09. The TLGP also provides FDIC coverage for interest checking accounts with interest rates no higher than .50 percent. This coverage provision is currently scheduled to expire 12/31/09.
