Doug Lane has been a member of the United Bank family since 2004. As President of Wealth Management, he is responsible for the leadership and overall strategic direction of United Bank’s Wealth Management Services. Based out of the Wealth Management Services office in Griffin, GA, he serves as the senior trust officer for all trust relationships.
With more than 25 years of experience, Doug has a broad range of wealth management expertise and is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER TM professional. Prior to joining United Bank, Doug spent seven years as a financial advisor with Edward Jones and Bank of America. Before his investment career, he spent five years serving as an Officer in the United States Navy.
Doug graduated from The Georgia Institute of Technology in 1990 with a Bachelor of Industrial Engineering. He, his wife Becky, his two daughters and son live in Senoia, GA.
Senior Wealth Advisor
Alicia Washington, Senior Wealth Advisor, joined United Bank in 2011. Based out of the Jackson, GA office, she is responsible for client relationship management and new business development for the Jackson market. She works with clients to create wealth management plans that consider both short-term and long-term financial goals. This often involves the development and management of investment strategies, retirement plans and wealth-building plans that support these goals.
Alicia holds the Certified Trust and Fiduciary Advisor (CTFA) certification. The CTFA is a professional designation offered by the American Bankers Association which provides training and confirms expertise in the areas of fiduciary principles and applications, integrated planning and advice (financial and tax), asset management, trust administration, risk/compliance management, ethics, and relationship management.
Alicia graduated from Mercer University in 2003 with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance and Management. She is an investment professional with over 20 years of experience. Prior to joining United Bank, she spent eight years with McIntosh Financial Services where her responsibilities included investment management and retirement planning.
Alicia is an active member of the Rotary Club of Jackson-Butts County, the Butts County Chamber of Commerce, and the Development Authority of Butts County. She is also a member
of Macedonia Baptist Church. Alicia lives in Jackson, GA with her husband, Andy, and their son.
Beth Headley, Wealth Advisor, joined United Bank in 2017. Based out of the Newnan, GA office, she is responsible for client relationship management and new business development for the Newnan market. She works with clients to create wealth management plans that consider both short-term and long-term financial goals. This often involves the development and management of investment strategies, retirement plans and wealth-building plans that support these goals.

With more than 25 years of experience, Beth has a broad range of investment management expertise. Prior to joining United Bank, Beth spent 11 years as a Registered Sales Assistant with Stifel, and 8 years as a Registered Sales Assistant with Synovus.
Beth and her husband, Luke, live in Newnan along with their two children and are actively involved in the community. Beth serves as a board member of the Coweta Samaritan Clinic, Treasurer of the Newnan Coweta Public Safety Foundation, Treasurer of the Boy Scout Troop 47, Member and Treasurer of Central Baptist Church, Sustainer of the Newnan Junior Service League and is a graduate of the 2019 Leadership Coweta class. Beth graduated from LaGrange College with a BA degree in Biochemistry.
Wealth Advisor, Griffin Office
Madison Morris, Wealth Advisor, joined United Bank in 2013. Based out of the Griffin, GA office, she is responsible for client relationship management and new business development for the Griffin market. She works with clients to create wealth management plans that consider both short-term and long-term financial goals. This often involves the development and management of investment strategies, retirement plans and wealth-building plans that support these goals.
Madison began her career with United Bank as the Trust and Brokerage Administrator, servicing clients and assisting advisors. Additionally, she worked as administrative support to the Division President of the Wealth Management Division. In April of 2016, she assumed the role of a Wealth Advisor. Madison is pursuing the Certified Trust and Fiduciary Advisor (CTFA) certification. The CTFA is a professional designation offered by the American Bankers Association which provides training and confirms expertise in the areas of fiduciary principles and applications, integrated planning, and advice (financial and tax), asset management, trust administration, risk/compliance management, ethics, and relationship management.
Prior to joining the bank, Madison attended LaGrange College and graduated in 2013 with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and a minor in History and Theatre. Madison currently serves on the Children's Healthcare of Atlanta Southern Crescent Community Board. She is a lifelong resident of Griffin, GA, where she resides with her husband, Brock, and their daughter and son.
Wealth Advisor, Barnesville and Forsyth Offices
Jonathan Brown, Wealth Advisor, joined United Bank in 2018. Based out of the Barnesville and Forsyth offices, he is responsible for client relationship management and new business development for the Barnesville and Forsyth markets. He works with clients to create wealth management plans that consider both short-term and long-term financial goals. This often involves the development and management of investment strategies, retirement plans and wealth-building plans that support these goals.

Jonathan holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of Georgia and has completed their Financial Planning Program offered through the College of Family and Consumer Sciences. He currently lives in Thomaston and will be getting married to his Fiancée, Emma, at the end of 2024. He is a member of the Kiwanis Club in Forsyth, and they attend Christ Chapel Church in Zebulon.

Angel Pitts, Wealth Advisor, joined United Bank in 2023. Based out of the Covington, GA office, she is responsible for client relationship management and new business development for the Covington and Madison markets. She works with clients to create wealth management plans that consider both short-term and long-term financial goals. This often involves the development and management of investment strategies, retirement plans and wealth-building plans that support these goals.

Angel joined United Bank in July of 2023 as an LOA and Assistant to the President for the Covington division. She worked seven years for United Community Bank as a Personal Banker and Mortgage Loan Originator. Her first job after graduation was with the Chick-fil-A Corporation as a Marketing Director for a Conyers store. Her community banking experience along with her marketing background provided a solid foundation of experience for the wealth advisor role.
Angel currently serves as an ambassador for the Newton County Chamber of Commerce and is in the process of joining the Rotary Club of Covington. Angel was born and raised in Covington and currently lives in Mansfield with her husband and four sons.

Greg Daniel, Wealth Advisor, joined United Bank in 2019. Based out of the Zebulon office, he is responsible for client relationship management and new business development for the Pike and Thomaston markets. He works with clients to create wealth management plans that consider both short-term and long-term financial goals. This often involves the development and management of investment strategies, retirement plans and wealth-building plans that support these goals.
Greg has 29 years of experience in risk management and retirement planning. Prior to joining United Bank, he worked 15 years as a retirement specialist in Georgia school systems, helping school employees prepare for retirement.
He is currently pursuing the Certified Trust and Fiduciary Advisor (CTFA) certification. Greg and his wife, Michele, reside in Pike County, Georgia. Both are active in the local community, with a heart for serving young people. They have two sons, Will and Drew. Will and his wife, Alexis, currently live in Senoia with grandchildren Liam and Olivia. Drew is currently a student at South Georgia Technical College. The Daniel family attends Passion City Church in Atlanta.
Senior Vice President, Wealth Management Services Department Manager
Daniel Searcy, Senior Vice President and Wealth Management Services Department Manager, joined United Bank in 2011 and is responsible for asset management, client relations and trust administration support for all United Bank markets. Based out of the Wealth Management Services office in Griffin, GA, he serves as the primary portfolio manager for all investment advisory accounts.
Prior to his position with United Bank, he managed and operated a prominent local real estate management and appraisal business with property assets throughout the state.
Active in the Griffin community, Daniel serves as a board member of St. George’s Episcopal School and Midway Recovery Systems. He is also a member of St. George’s Episcopal Church in Griffin, GA.
Daniel graduated from Presbyterian College in 1998 with a degree in Business Administration. He, wife Stephanie, and their daughter and son live in Griffin, GA.
Self-Directed IRA Administrator
Brandy Smith has been with United Bank since 2008, and is based in the Wealth Management Services office in Griffin, GA. As Self-Directed IRA Administrator, her responsibilities include oversight of IRA cash flows, legal documents and expenses related to the purchase and sale of real estate, issuing promissory notes, and facilitating investments in Limited Liability Companies. She also facilitates 1031 Exchanges.
Brandy has over 22 years of banking experience, 10 dedicated specifically to the Wealth Management Department as the Self-Directed IRA Administrator. During her time with United Bank, she has held positions in the loan department, traditional bank platform, and Wealth Management Department. Her extensive experience in each of these areas provides a well-rounded knowledge of alternative, real asset investments.
Brandy graduated from The University of Georgia in 2011 with a Bachelor of Science in Family and Consumer Economics with a minor in Family Financial Management. Brandy and her husband live in Zebulon, GA and have two children.
Assistant Portfolio Manager
Seth joined United Bank in January of 2015 and became a member of the Wealth Management team in 2022. He is responsible for daily financial market trading and assisting with portfolio construction for clients who are planning for their futures. He previously held various retail banking roles in United Bank's Griffin division, including Business Services sales, before assuming the Assistant Portfolio Manager role.
Seth earned a Business Management degree from Southern Crescent Technical College and an Asset Management certification from the American Bankers Association. He and his wife Victoria along with their son Parker live in Williamson, Ga. They attend Griffin Center Point Church in Griffin where they've been members for 20 years. He enjoys playing and teaching golf as well as traveling with his family.
Our Trust Operations team includes Ann Baucom, Nikki Reynolds, Roxanne Parks and Firehiwot Woldu. This team works to perform the daily transactions and operations required in the management of all trust accounts.
Our Wealth Management administrative team includes Paige Peterson, Morgan Mangrum, Cheyenne Martin and Jacqueline Johnson.
